Wedding Venues

Marbella + Costa del Sol + Spain

Step into a world where history, nature, and luxury intertwine to create an unforgettable wedding experience. Casa de la Era, nestled on an ancient wheat farm in the heart of Marbella, is more than a venue, it’s a dreamscape where cascading waterfalls, lush gardens, and panoramic sea and mountain views set the stage for a celebration of love.

Casa De La Era + Marbella

This transformed family estate, with its modern amenities seamlessly blended into a setting steeped in history, offers a canvas for your love story.

Every couple has their own idea of the day they want, and this is a venue that lets you have it. An outdoor ceremony in the Ceremonial Circle, a relaxed dinner on the terrace with everyone you love, or something considerably grander: the site gives you the space and the freedom to build it your way.

We handpicked Casa de la Era because it doesn’t push you into a fixed package. It runs on a dry hire basis, so you choose your own caterers, décor, entertainment and suppliers rather than accepting the venue’s list. Combined with no sound curfew, which is genuinely uncommon on this stretch of the coast, it gives you more control over your day than most venues here will.

It’s worth being straight about what dry hire actually means, though, because it’s the thing couples most often misjudge. It’s why the venue starts at €5,500 while a typical wedding here comes in nearer €40,000. You’re not buying a wedding, you’re buying a beautiful, well-equipped empty site, and everything that fills it is yours to arrange. Handled well, that’s freedom and good value. Underestimated, it’s a great deal more work than it looks.

That’s where we come in. If you’d rather not build a wedding from scratch from another country, we’ll do it for you: suppliers we trust who already know this venue, your timeline and budget, the details, and coordination on the day itself. You get the blank canvas without the legwork.

Just 30 minutes away from Malaga International Airport, this exclusive mansion with its stunning surrounding landscape creates a perfect setting for your big day, with no sound curfew you can party into the night. Suppliers can be recommended or you are free to choose and hire your own. If you’re looking for one of the best Wedding Venues Marbella has to offer, then look no further than Casa de la Era

Is Casa de la Era suitable for winter or bad weather weddings?

casa+de+le+era+marbella

Yes, and some of the best weddings we’ve planned there have been outside the traditional summer season. Couples tend to think of Spain as a summer destination, but Marbella’s climate is mild year round, which makes autumn, winter and spring genuinely good times to marry.

The atmosphere is the thing we’d point to first. The light is softer, the venue feels more exclusive, and there’s a slower pace that lets everyone actually enjoy the day. Daytime temperatures usually sit between 12°C and 18°C, so outdoor ceremonies and drinks receptions are still very achievable, particularly on the bright winter afternoons Marbella is known for.

Then there’s flexibility. You’ll have a far wider choice of dates, and photographers, florists, musicians and other suppliers have much better availability in the quieter months. Depending on the time of year, that can make your budget stretch further without compromising on quality.

A backup plan matters, though, and it’s worth being specific about what’s actually there. Casa de la Era has covered space for up to 100 guests: the Barn seats 50 and has its own bar, so it works as a proper reception space rather than a shelter, and the large outdoor gazebo covers a further 50. Above 100 guests you’d want a marquee, which is straightforward to arrange but is a real cost that isn’t in the venue’s hire fee, so build it in early if your list is heading past 100. Outdoor heaters and blankets are easily added and make more difference than people expect.

If you like the idea of a Spanish wedding but not the busy summer months, winter at Casa de la Era is worth a serious look. The venue is just as good, and with the right planning the day is every bit as memorable.

Why we like winter weddings at Casa de la Era
  • Marbella’s mild climate makes outdoor weddings possible for much of the year
  • More flexibility on dates, and a better choice of suppliers
  • Covered space for up to 100 guests, with marquee options above that, so you can plan with confidence
